10 Easy Quilt Patterns

I’ve been doing a lot of crochet lately. As I stand here typing, I can see three unfinished crochet projects next to the couch as well as the project I finished a couple of days ago, my Cocoon Cardigan. Somehow I got on a crochet roll and didn’t stop!

But I have some beautiful fabric tempting me back to my sewing machine and I’m feeling the call of my quilting. Each month since I was featured in the rainbow Quilty Box, those lovely folks have sent me the latest boxes. How lucky am I!!? Recently they also started a smaller subscription service as well where you can receive a smaller package each month – a Quilty Box Mini. Each Quilty Box not only contains some quality fabric – usually fat quarters or charm squares – but also has tools and thread. There is usually a pattern as well so you really have a complete project ready to start when the box arrives.

Sadly, with all my crocheting, I haven’t started any quilt projects!

So it was time to get inspired and lately when I’m not browsing Pinterest for inspiration, I turn to Etsy. In fact, I may turn to Etsy more as I seem to over there a lot listing new mug designs in my own Shop.

I need some quick easy quilts that I can piece without thinking too hard to get myself back into quilting again. So I’ve collected some Etsy lovelies together and I thought I’d share them, in case you’re looking for inspiration too. All of these are downloadable PDF patterns and some of them come with multiple sizes in the one pattern which is even better.

Enjoy – and watch out for some quilting projects in my Instagram feed very soon!

This beauty is from Mack and Mabel on Etsy and includes instructions for 5 different quilt sizes. It is made from jelly rolls so half the cutting is already done for you! Find out more here.

I had to include at least one quilt from Emily Dennis of QuiltyLove. This ‘Double the Plus’ quilt is so simple but so lovely. Find out more here.

Although Sunset Crochet doesn’t sound like a quilt pattern shop, Bonnie has a handful of easy quilt patterns to download. This one is perfect for using up small scraps of fabric. Find out more here.

This quilt might look tricky but it is made using pre-cut charm squares so it is not as hard as it looks. The pattern is from Ahhh Quilting and is called Horizon Charm Quilt – maybe after the beautiful fabric line. Find out more here.

I really like this unusual pattern from Sew Many Creations. It is called the Rippler Quilt Pattern and is a clever layout of triangles and strips. Find out more here.

As much as I want to buy EVERY pattern in the Quilt Theory Etsy shop, I’m sharing this one called Color Crossing. It reminds me of cross stitch. Find out more here.

Another jelly roll quilt, this is Gateway to Paradise by Patchwork Passion. The clever use of black strips really makes the colours pop on this one. Find out more here.

I love that simple lines can look so effective! This is Pacific Northwest Plaid by Happy Cloud Creations. Make sure you check out the various colourways in her listing to give you an idea how it would look in different colours. Find out more here.

This quilt is called Queen’s Cross and is also available in a smaller size called Cross Reflections. This one is designed by Ridge Machine Quilting. Find out more here.

This pretty little quilt pattern includes baby quilt and lap quilt sizes and both are made from fat quarters. It is called Vice Versa and is designed by Come What May Creations. Find out more here.
